The 2026 G7 summit, originally scheduled for June 14 in the French town of Évian-les-Bains, has been postponed to June 15. The French government cited “consultations with partner countries” as the reason for the change. The rescheduling is believed to be related to Trump’s birthday events, as the White House plans to host a UFC event on June 14 to celebrate his birthday. Artificial intelligence will be a central topic at the G7 summit.. The G7 Summit has listed artificial intelligence as a core agenda item. The leaders of the seven nations reached a consensus: AI should not become the “private territory” of a few tech giants, but should enable all countries worldwide to master “intelligence sovereignty” through open-source collaboration and trusted infrastructure development.
This signal sends a clear trend—when the world competes for AI discourse power, edge intelligence becomes the key to breaking through.
In the G7 Summit speeches, “data privacy,” “algorithm transparency,” and “technology inclusiveness” became high-frequency terms. Behind this lies a harsh reality: current mainstream AI applications heavily rely on cloud computing power and cross-border data centers, which not only bring data cross-border compliance risks but also place small and medium-sized enterprises and developing countries in a passive position in the AI race.
As a technology solution provider deeply rooted in the smart wearables field for over a decade, Thinkrace’s TinyML Edge AI Empowerment Platform is precisely a disruptive solution that “puts AI into a watch”—no internet connection required, no cloud API subscription needed, and within the small space of a smartwatch, core AI tasks such as voice recognition, health data analysis, behavioral pattern prediction, and emergency command issuance can be completed.

Reliable Hardware, Infinite AI
Thinkrace’s technical architecture is divided into three layers:
- Bottom Hardware Layer: Sensors, MCU, RF, and power management are fixed and certified in over twenty countries worldwide, so clients do not need to repeatedly invest in hardware R&D;
- Middle System Layer: HAL and RTOS remain closed-source to ensure stability;
- Top AI Layer: 100% open—JS/Python/C SDK, model conversion toolchain, and pre-trained model library are all delivered in white-box mode.
This means that a startup company with only software algorithms can deploy its self-developed AI model to a Thinkrace smartwatch in a short period and directly push it to mass production. Our products have been deployed in over twenty countries including the United States, India, South Africa, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates, serving the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, and Africa, with reliable validation across different scenario solutions.
While G7 leaders discuss AI governance frameworks at the national level, Thinkrace focuses on how every organization and every user can truly own AI capabilities.
When multilingual communication becomes a cross-border necessity, our Neural TTS engine supports real-time voice synthesis in English, French, Arabic, and more, without requiring cloud translation interfaces; when industrial scenarios require offline decision-making, TinyML models can complete anomaly detection and early warning at milliwatt-level power consumption.
The G7 Summit has set the regulatory tone for global AI governance, and Thinkrace is providing the deployable hardware carrier for these rules. We believe that true AI inclusiveness is not about connecting everyone to the same cloud brain, but about enabling every edge device to have independent thinking capabilities.
